There are times in life when we can feel overwhelmed, stuck or unsure of how to move forward. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, low mood, bereavement, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling that something isn't quite right, counselling offers a confidential and supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings. Together, we can work towards a greater understanding of yourself, explore patterns that may be holding you back and help you navigate life's challenges with greater confidence and clarity.
Relationships can be rewarding, but they can also be complicated. Whether you're experiencing communication difficulties, recurring disagreements, a loss of connection or navigating a significant change, relationship counselling offers a space where both people can feel heard and understood. Working together, we can explore the dynamics within your relationship, develop healthier ways of communicating and build a deeper understanding of each other's needs. The aim isn't to take sides, but to help you find a way forward that feels right for you both.
My service offers a supportive and confidential space for young people in Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 who may be experiencing anxiety, school or exam pressures, friendship difficulties, bereavement, low confidence or changes associated with growing up. Sessions provide an opportunity to talk openly, explore feelings, develop self-understanding and find helpful ways of managing everyday difficulties. Please note: This is not a crisis or emergency mental health service. I do not provide specialist treatment for young people experiencing acute or high-risk mental health difficulties, or those requiring intensive or multidisciplinary support.
An initial assessment helps us consider whether the service is appropriate. Where a young person's needs fall outside the support I can safely offer, I will discuss appropriate alternative services or referrals.
Issues I can support teenagers with: Anxiety & worry. Overthinking, everyday worries and feeling overwhelmed. School, revision stress, exams, expectations and pressure. Friendships, fall-out, peer pressure, belonging and social confidence. Confidence & assertiveness.Finding your voice, boundaries & self-esteem. Bereavement & Loss. Grief, family changes & difficult transitions. Family relationships. Communication, independence & changing relationships.
Grief can feel incredibly lonely, even when we have people around us who care. My small, welcoming bereavement support groups offer a safe and compassionate space to connect with others who understand something of what you're going through. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and no expectation to share more than you feel comfortable with. Together, we can explore the many emotions and challenges that come with loss, offering understanding, connection and reassurance that you don't have to navigate your grief alone. Groups are held in person in Bedford and Kempston, with a maximum of five participants to ensure everyone has the opportunity to feel heard and supported.
